  • [H3] Absolutely Useless — Avoid Choice Home Warranty at All Costs If you're considering Choice Home Warranty to protect your home systems, RUN the other way. I’ve never experienced a company so proficient in offering false hope, empty promises, and absolutely no solutions when it matters most. My HVAC unit failed during the peak of summer — in unbearable heat — and I filed a claim immediately. What followed was a circus of incompetence, excuses, and stalling. Choice Home Warranty sent a contractor who clearly wasn’t qualified, took days to respond, and ultimately provided zero meaningful help. Worse than the delays was the company’s astonishingly dismissive attitude. Every time I called, I was met with vague apologies, "understanding of my frustration," and meaningless reassurances that my issue was "a priority." Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. They offered no timeline, no alternative solution, no escalation, and certainly no repair. Just a steady stream of worthless “moral support” over the phone while I sweated it out — literally. When I pressed for answers, they hid behind policy fine print and blamed the contractor network. At the end of the day, all I got from Choice Home Warranty was stress, wasted time, and a still-broken HVAC system. Let’s be clear: A warranty is supposed to provide peace of mind. This company offers the exact opposite. They collect your premiums and vanish the moment you need real help. Save your money. Save your sanity. Go elsewhere. I have been waiting two months for my HVAC to be fixed, especially in the middle of summer, and I have made over 15 calls to Choice. The "authorization team" still can't approve the repair. This is only the tip of the iceberg. I had the unit serviced in June by another company, and they identified issues with the unit. Not an issue according to Choice, and the unit is still not working. Twice, I have taken off from work to meet the tech that never showed up. This is the most consternating and frustrating experience I have ever had with a warranty company, and to add insult to injury, they asked me if I was going to renew for the following year. The answer is a resounding, hell will freeze over first! DO NOT WASTE your money on this poor excuse for a company, they take but they don't pay out. Even the technicians sent to my home complained about the treatment they received and how they were scammed. There have been multiple promises in writing to reimburse me for my expenses, but I have yet to receive any form of compensation. When you talk to the account manager, he promises great things, but dealing with customer service, they are quick to promise you the moon and do nothing. Now, I am forced to fix the issue out of pocket, and so what good is a warranty company?

It started with a nice enough young man wearing an AT&T badge who approached me at my house when I was returning from the store. He mentioned that we could qualify for free new phones and a great deal because we have AT&T Fiber Internet. He returned the next day and explained the fees and we signed up, although the amount on the screen was different from his original quote. I also asked if the name on the mobile account had to match the fiber account and he said no problem. He reassured us 15 times that the discounts would be applied, but when I received the invoice the next day, the amount was grossly higher than what he quoted. Classic bait and switch, incompetence on his part, or maybe the discounts would eventually kick in, but who knows? I texted the sales guy and he didn’t get back to me for hours, so I made the first of more than a dozen calls to find out what happened. The representative said the names do have to match to get the discount, which is something our clueless sales guy didn’t know. When I finally heard from him, he said he didn’t have my invoice, so could I email it to him so he could try to figure out what happened. Canceling service and going back to Verizon ended up taking more than eight cumulative hours, including on my daughter’s part since the phone we weren't replacing was hers and she lives in a different state! Most of the AT&T reps barely spoke English and none of them said the same thing. Some of the Verizon reps barely spoke English either, and also provided contradictory information about how to switch back. It wasn’t until my daughter talked to a fantastic Verizon rep after an entire week went by that we found out we needed a transfer code to actually make the switch back. The last person I talked to at AT&T was clearly outsourced and his English was so terrible, I couldn’t understand him. Then he transferred me to an incredibly rude jerk named Jonathan who told me to take the phone off speaker and somehow I disconnected him after being on the call for 65 minutes. Advice to AT&T – The amount your sales guys quote should match the customer invoice and it should be sent to them to check for accuracy, prior to being emailed to the customer! Advice to self: never let a door-to-door sales guy in the house ever again. The one bright spot is that we received a credit for the phones we shipped back, right after UPS delivered them to AT&T. And BTW- we love our AT&T fiber and that setup experience was flawless.

This is not a legitimate prop firm; it is a sophisticated scam designed to steal your challenge fee and deny all withdrawals using false accusations. My experience proves they use a two-step scam process: The First Excuse ("Gambling"): My first payout request ($105) was rejected under a vague "Gambling Policy." I accepted this, improved my strategy, and continued trading successfully. The Real Excuse ("Group Trading"): When I requested a larger, rightful payout of $535, they immediately BANNED my account. The reason? "Group trading." Their "evidence"? My brother, who lives with me, had an account 4-6 months ago on the same internet connection. He did his own KYC, made one withdrawal, and quit trading months ago. His account is inactive. This is a predatory trap. They know most households share one IP address. They use this to falsely link accounts and invent "group trading" violations to avoid paying profitable traders. Key Proof of the Scam: Moving the Goalposts: They rejected my first payout for one reason ("gambling") and the larger one for a completely different, more severe reason ("group trading"). This is a classic scam tactic. Zero Investigation: I offered to do ANYTHING to prove I trade alone: a new live interview, new KYC, any proof they needed. They refused to even look at evidence and told me the decision was "final." Contradictory Support: Their support agent said they would "review" my case but in the same breath stated the breach is "final and will not be overturned," proving the review is a sham meant to stall. FINAL WARNING: Do not trust this company with your money. They are not reviewers; they are gatekeepers who change the rules whenever you succeed. They will take your challenge fee and use any excuse to keep your profits. I have full screenshot evidence of all emails and Discord conversations to support every claim in this review.

Had to return the TV due to fault with the Samsung TV and told pick up is between 00:00 and 00:00 no one came to pick it up and then called them to discuss and an hour and no one answered had to give up as the lines were shut ! This is not acceptable service ! Three days already lost waiting in now this will be another day for rescheduling and another day spent waiting and I won’t be surprised if they don’t show up again ! Means I’ll have to wait even longer for a refund for the item! Don’t schedule with them and use anyone else other than them !

  • [H3] I brought a years worth of Norton security online 5 years ago didn't renew my subscription to the point my laptop got a virus and was no longer any good to me and I've since found out that they have been taking money every year for a service that I wasn't receiving. I've had no emails or correspondence with them and when I rang to cancel they couldn't find me on the system at all until I gave them the reference number on my banking app and even then it took them ages to confirm all my details. I managed to get a refund for the latest payment but no refund for the other 3 years I was paying for a service I didn't receive.

The staff at Llandudno Ethan and Cally where friendly and very helpful despite my possible grumpy attitude. Having realised I had made a mistake they were happy to continue to help me regardless of my autism and any difficulties I had with company process. Then traveling to the Bangor store to find out my phone had ran out of battery. To the rescue Nia who was happy to lend a charger so I could pay for my items and have a successful camping trip over the weekend.

When I did select something to go ahead with I was contacted promptly and offered support and explanations of any issues I had. When I did have an issue, they immediately acted on it and had answers for me the very next day, and reached out to me without waiting for me to chase them up. I really valued the customer service and effort they offered throughout the whole process.
